What Are Some Obscure Bands That Should Get More Recognition?
I'm talking about bands that if you ask the general person about them they wouldn't know what you were talking about. I mean bands that blow away the crap you hear on the radio but for some reason, whether by their choice or whatever aren't big but should be. Doesn't matter if they're broken up or not now. Here's a few of mine: Minus the Bear Bear vs Shark Moros Eros The Aquarium Fugazi French Toast Faraquet Belle and Sebastian Reindeer Section Benton Falls The Brian Jonestown Massacre Radiohead - not quite obscure but should be bigger than they are Cursive Death From Above 1979 Pavement Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks Foals Jawbreaker Low Maps & Atlases K-Os Moros Eros OneLineDrawing POS Paris, Texas Pinback Placebo Portugal, The Man Black Keys Poster Children Q and Not U Refused The Rum Diary Settlefish Sounds of Violence Sufjan Stevens Swervedriver Ted Leo and the Pharmacists Stereophonics Weakerthans Those are only a few of the great bands I know that should be bigger than they are. Or if not bigger should be well heard because people are missing out.
