Making a homemade, legit-looking poster?
So I want to make myself a full-sized Boondock Saints poster, I think.
Favorite movie, by far. Along with Rent, but that's beside the point. (:
I also need to keep myself busy in my downtime from school, especially with me being sick. That, and I'm hoping that if I do it good enough I might be able to do a few more for other people, either for gifts or money.
However, what materials would you suggest? I'd like to refrain from using poster board if possible, just because I'm not a fan of that material. I'd prefer to use markers, since that has a cleaner look to it, and I'll probably purchase sharpies and the like for permanence. And some spray to put on later to protect it when I'm done. But what kind of markers, if not sharpies, and most importantly -- what kind of paper do I purchase?
I have a Hobby Lobby and and A.C. Moore by me, by the way. So if I could get the supplies locally, that would be extremely convenient.
Thanks. (:
I'd prefer to stay away from smaller paper, of course. (: I want it to be larger, standard poster size if possible, but I just don't like the thickness of poster board, to be honest. If need be, though, I'll work with it and see if I can find a nice finishing spray to add a glossy, but saving affect to it.
